The 11th UK-China Senior Leadership Forum took place in London on 20 June 2023.

The Forum was organised by the Great Britain-China Centre (GBCC) in cooperation with the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (IDCPC), to provide a high-level channel for exchange between UK Parliamentarians and Chinese Party-State officials to strengthen mutual understanding and discuss issues of common concern.
A delegation of 20 Chinese officials and embassy representatives led by IDCPC Minister, Liu Jianchao, attended the Forum. Welcoming this delegation was a group of cross-party politicians led by Honorary President of GBCC, Sir David Lidington. Minister of State for Indo-Pacific, Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, attended the opening ceremony and welcomed the Chinese delegation.
The Forum, entitled “UK and China: Re-connecting Political Parties for a Constructive Relationship in a Changing World”, focused on strategies for stability and sustainable growth and deepening political exchanges. The Forum concluded with remarks from both sides that while the global political environment is fast changing and there are areas of disagreement between the UK and China, there remains room for discussions to tackle shared global challenges.
